Ingredients
Instructions
Gently mix beef with Worcestershire, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Form into 4 patties about 3/4 inch thick. Press a thumb dimple in the center.
Grill over medium-high heat 4-5 minutes per side for medium.
Add cheese during the last minute and close the lid.
Toast buns on the grill for 30 seconds.
Dad's note: Don't press the patties — that squeezes out the flavor.

Recommended Tools & Appliances
Weber Spirit II Gas Grill
Weber
It provides superior heat retention and a sear that creates a crust on the patties, perfect if you prefer indoor cooking over a grill.
Meat Thermometer
It ensures the burgers reach an exact internal temperature, guaranteeing the meat is cooked to a perfect medium without overcooking it.
Burger Press
It helps form uniform patties of consistent thickness, ensuring they all cook at the same rate and hold their shape during grilling.
Kitchen Scale
It allows you to portion the ground beef into identical weights, ensuring every burger is the exact same size for even cooking.
Heavy Duty Spatula
A sturdy, wide-edged spatula is essential for flipping the patties cleanly without them breaking apart on the grill grates.
